EVOLVE
    Functional Check

    We don't guess. We measure.

Your EVOLVE Functional Index, measured and explained in 60 minutes. Four clinical measurements, a plan from a specialist, and a recommended re-test every 3 months, so you see progress the scale can't show.

    In plain language

See your physical capacity in the measurements

If you want to know how your body is performing, start with measurements. We use sensors, not a questionnaire or a wrist estimate, to measure four things: aerobic capacity (VO2max), grip strength, body composition, and movement quality. The results help describe your physical-capacity profile and guide your next steps.

The scale isn't the whole story

What matters is what you lose, and what you keep.

The scale shows one number. It can't tell you whether you lost fat or muscle. Our goal is less body fat with your muscle preserved, because muscle gives you energy every day and capability for years.

    A specialist, not an app.

A person interprets your results and tells you what to do next.

    Results you can see.

A baseline measurement and a re-test every 3 months. Progress in numbers, not feelings.

    A small group.

Semi-personal sessions, a maximum of 8 people, 50 minutes. Coach attention close to 1:1, with the energy of a group.

    Not just numbers

A report with four clinical measurements and your percentile against age- and sex-matched norms.

A physiotherapist-led interpretation: what the numbers mean for your specific risk profile and functional trajectory.

A prioritized 4-week plan, derived from your data. Not a generic template.

    Who this is for

The Functional Check is for people already doing something, who lack clinical-grade data on whether it is working.

    01

You train 3 times a week but have no idea what your VO₂max is or how it compares to age and sex norms.

    02

You optimize sleep, nutrition, and supplementation past 40, but have never measured your functional baseline.

    03

You want to understand your EVOLVE Functional Index and which physical-capacity results to work on.

    04

You are returning from injury and want clinical clearance and a structured re-entry, not a trainer's gut instinct.

What we measure, and what it means

    VO₂max

    Aerobic capacity

Performance at altitude, sustained energy across a 10-hour work day, physical capacity that does not become a liability in the next decade.

Clinical standardMeasured with expired gas analysis. Reported as percentile by age and sex against published normative data. The single strongest predictor of all-cause mortality in the literature.

    Grip strength

    Muscular strength

A functional marker of mid-life resilience. Low grip strength today predicts loss of independence decades later.

Clinical standardHand dynamometer measurement, referenced against cardiovascular mortality risk thresholds (Leong et al., Lancet 2015). Not an estimate, a calibrated reading.

    Body composition

    Segmental analysis

Distribution of muscle and fat tissue limb by limb. Asymmetries, lean mass deficits, visceral fat, the signals a scale cannot show.

Clinical standardSegmental analysis, not scale weight. Lean mass and visceral fat interpreted as markers of your metabolic and functional trajectory over the next decade.

    Movement quality

    Functional assessment

Compensatory patterns, asymmetries, and range-of-motion deficits that precede pain by months, sometimes years.

Clinical standardAssessed against functional movement standards by a physiotherapist with 17 years of clinical practice. Identifies restrictions before they become injuries.

The measurements are only the data layer. The value is the interpretation: which markers are driving each other, what the interaction between VO₂max and body composition says about the next decade, and where one targeted intervention creates the most leverage.

    vs your wearable

What can testing show beyond your wearable?

A fitness watch can show useful activity trends, but it doesn't replace a physiotherapist-led assessment. During the Functional Check we assess VO2max, grip strength, body composition and movement quality. We discuss each result against its relevant reference and your goals to identify priorities and track change over time.

Results from people who started with a Functional Check

The outcomes below come from clients whose pathway was designed from their Functional Check, not from people who simply signed up for a program.

Our clients stay with us for years

They don't come for a month. They stay because they can see it working.

"I have been going to him to train for about 3 years. So it was great to go to Evolve which he has started. Its calm and the individual attention really helped me develop. Key metrics like your body composition, grip strength etc are measured and a very objective approach to training."

“Most assessments stop at data. I focus on the pattern: which measurements are driving each other, what the interaction between VO₂max and body composition tells us about someone's next decade, and where one targeted intervention creates the most leverage. That is what you leave with.”

Your pathway is determined by your results

Not by what you bought. The Functional Check determines which pathway fits. Some people need only one or two adjustments.

    Medical training

When results indicate pain, restriction, or post-injury return. Led by a physiotherapist, with cardiologist oversight when indicated.

    Personal training

When the baseline is stable and the gap sits in strength or capacity. Programming derived directly from your percentile scores.

    Semi-Personal Classes

Maximum 8 people. The trainer works from your specific results inside a group of comparable profiles.

    The offer

No more not knowing where to start.

299 PLN. The equivalent of four separate specialist consultations, in one morning, with a single integrated interpretation.

You leave with a plan, a clinical report, and clarity on what to focus on for the next four weeks.

What's the difference between weight loss and fat loss?+
Weight loss is a drop on the scale. It can include fat, but also water and muscle. Fat loss means you're losing fat specifically, while keeping your muscle. That's why EVOLVE measures body composition, not just weight.
Where can I get a body composition analysis in Warsaw?+
At EVOLVE Health Hub, Siedmiogrodzka 1, body composition analysis is part of the Functional Check. In 60 minutes we also measure VO2max, grip strength and movement quality, and a specialist walks you through your results and next steps.
Can you lose weight without losing muscle?+
Yes, when fat loss is combined with strength training and enough protein. Without them, part of the weight lost is usually muscle. A re-test after 3 months shows what has actually changed.
    Why do you recommend a re-test every 3 months?+
After about 3 months, changes in strength, aerobic capacity and body composition are clearly measurable, and it is still frequent enough to adjust the plan. That is why we test at months 3, 6, 9 and 12, under comparable conditions, so the result reflects progress, not random fluctuation.
I already train regularly. Why do I need this?+
Training without baseline data is optimization without a reference point. The Functional Check tells you whether your current approach is producing measurable results, where the gaps are, and what to prioritize next. Most people who train regularly discover at least one significant gap they had no reason to suspect.
How is this different from a sports medicine consultation or a general health check?+
A standard health check measures pathology risk. A Functional Check measures functional capacity, the gap between where you are and where your age cohort peaks, and what is driving that gap. It is assessment designed for intervention, not for screening.
What happens after the Functional Check? Is this the start of an expensive program?+
The 4-week priority plan you receive is yours regardless of what you do next. It tells you exactly what to focus on first, based on your results, not a generic program. There is no required follow-on. If you choose to continue at EVOLVE, your pathway is determined by your results. Some people need medical training. Some need strength programming. Some are already doing the right things and need only one or two adjustments.
What if the results are worse than I expect?+
That is the point of measuring. A gap between where you are and where you should be is not a problem. It is a prioritized action list. Or has run hundreds of these assessments. The people who benefit most are often the ones who were most surprised by their results.
I have an injury or chronic pain. Can I still do the Functional Check?+
Yes. The assessment is adapted to your current physical state. If you are post-injury or managing a chronic condition, the Functional Check gives you a clinical picture of where you are, what is safe to load, and how to progress without regression.
Is this the same as a biological age test?+
It measures a different thing than an epigenetic or blood-based biological age test, and we're upfront about that. Those tests estimate age from DNA methylation or biomarkers. The Functional Check measures functional capacity: VO2max, grip strength, body composition, and movement quality, benchmarked against age and sex norms. The EVOLVE Functional Index describes physical capacity, not biological age or estimated lifespan. The results help plan your next steps.
